Ever paused your TV and played a motion graphic back in slow motion? No? Er, me neither…
Having worked in print all of my professional career, I have always looked at 2D space and seen the potential for adding the next layer of making the graphics move. With the multi-dimensional aspect of motion graphics, you can challenge both space and the viewer's perspective by studying and exploring new ways to make the elements travel, morph, and disappear within space and time in a way that's engaging.
As a graphic designer on the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts marketing team, I have worked on animations and motion graphics for our television commercials, environmental videos, and various other video-based projects.
